Join Sherry as a volunteer grave scout to locate and photograph the
75+ photo requests for Greenwood Cemetery, Sauk Centre, MN.
Saturday, September 13, 2025 ~ 10 am to ? 

Greenwood Cemetery, located just down the road from the Palmer, and is also the resting place of Sinclair Lewis, whom we will make sure to visit before returning to the Palmer! It has over 75 photo requests – some have been waiting since 2018! As volunteers, we will strive to fulfill as many requests as possible from families, genealogists, and researchers from across the country.

This is a free volunteer event — no participation fee, and booking a hotel room is optional. 
Join us in caring for the past. Help us locate and photograph graves so names and stories are never lost. Every photo is an act of remembrance – a way to honor the departed, tend their resting places, and keep their memory alive.

Together, we’ll be caretakers of stone, story, and spirit.

We’ll meet at 10 am at the Palmer for introductions and a summary of the afternoon.

The Palmer House has generously offered a BOGO on hotel rooms!
Rent a room for one night, get the second night free.
